Free, no account
Write your estimate by talking.
Describe the job the way you would walk a customer through it. The line items fill in, you set every price, the totals add up, and a clean PDF estimate comes out, with a line for the customer to sign. No sign-up, no watermark.
Your details and your amounts never leave your browser. Only the dictation audio is sent out, to be transcribed.
1. Describe the work
“Replace the kitchen faucet and the shut-off valves under the sink. Patch and paint the wall behind it. Haul away the old fixtures…”
2. Check the line items
| Description | Qty | Unit | Rate | Amount | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| $0 |
3. You and your customer
Typed once. Nothing is stored, and nothing is sent anywhere.

Add at least one line with a price.
And once it is sent?
That is where most jobs are lost: the estimate sits unanswered and nobody follows up. Lienzor finds your unanswered estimates, drafts the follow-ups on day 3, day 8 and day 15, and stops the moment the customer replies. Nothing goes out until you approve it.

Is there a free app that can create estimates?
Yes, this page: it builds a PDF estimate in your browser, free and without an account. Describe the job, check the line items, set your prices and download. The assistant never fills in a price you did not give it, and your details are not stored anywhere.
Does Excel or Google Docs have an estimate template?
Excel offers estimate and quote templates, and Google Docs and Sheets have invoice-style templates you can adapt. In both cases you type every cell and check the math yourself. This generator adds up the lines, the sales tax you enter and the deposit, and gives you a PDF ready to send.
What should a contractor estimate include?
Your business details, the customer, a date and how long the price holds, the work broken into clear line items with quantities and rates, the subtotal, any sales tax, the total, the deposit if you ask for one, and a line for the customer to accept. Vague line items are what invite haggling.
How long should I wait to follow up on an estimate?
About three days for the first follow-up. Lienzor's default sequence writes on day 3, day 8 and day 15, then stops; the delays can be changed per customer type or per customer, and the sequence stops as soon as the customer replies.
